San Antonio is the 7th largest city in the United States of America and the 2nd largest city within the state of Texas, with a population of 1.33 million. San Antonio is a major city in south-central Texas with a rich colonial heritage. The city was named for San Antonio de Padua, whose feast day is on June 13, when a Spanish expedition stopped in the area in 1691.
